Primary Division Classes

  • Pre-Ballet Ages 3-5

    Pre-Ballet is designed for young children ages 3-5. The class introduces students to the art form of ballet. Students will learn basic ballet steps and positions, coordination, studio etiquette, and appreciation for music and movement! Students must be 3 years old and potty trained to join.

  • Basic Ballet I Ages 6-7

    Basic Ballet I is designed for young children ages 6-7. The class introduces students to the art form of ballet, introducing simple barre work performed in the center. Students will learn basic ballet steps and positions, studio etiquette, and appreciation for music and movement!

  • Basic Ballet II Ages 7-9

    Basic Ballet II is designed for children ages 7-9

    The class is an introduction to the art form of ballet. Students will learn basic ballet steps and positions, studio etiquette, and appreciation for music and movement! Students will be introduced to basic barre work in this level, and learn more complex center combinations.

    Students ages 8+ are encouraged to enroll in both Tuesday & Thursday Ballet classes.

Youth Division Classes

  • Youth Ballet I Ages 9-14

    Youth Ballet is designed for students ages 9-14. Students will learn the basics of a classical ballet class starting at the barre, moving to center, and finishing with traveling combinations across the floor. This class will focus on building ballet movement vocabulary while refining technical precision, musicality, and proper anatomical alignment.

    Students age 9 must take a placement class in Basic Ballet II prior to joining this class.

    Students in Youth Ballet I are encouraged to enroll in both Monday & Wednesday Ballet classes.

  • Youth Ballet II/III Ages 10-16

    Youth Ballet II is designed for students ages 10-16. Students will take a classical ballet class starting at the barre, moving to center, and finishing with traveling combinations across the floor.

    This class will focus on building ballet movement vocabulary while refining the technical precision and form of the basic positions and movements. Proper alignment and etiquette, along with musicality and expression are integral to the training in this course.

    Youth Ballet III students are offered Pre-Pointe Class on Wednesdays to take in addition to their Tuesday and Thursday technique classes. It is encouraged that Youth Ballet II/III students are enrolled in all three of these classes.

    All students must take a placement class in Youth Ballet I prior to joining this class.

  • Pre-Pointe/Pointe (Youth Ballet II/III)

    This class is focused on pre-pointe, and will start with conditioning (theraband exercises, stabilizing exercises, core strength, etc.), and then go onto the barre focusing on footwork exercises needed to prepare for pointe work in the future. Having a strong foundation is best to prepare for pointe and avoid injuries. Students must be approved in order to go en pointe. Approval happens after they can complete certain strength and coordination tasks and have reached the ages of at least 11 or 12 for developmental purposes, and are taking regular classes. All of this to make sure students are able to train en pointe in a safe and productive way.

    Pre-pointe class is different in that it focuses on the lower body in preparation for pointe shoes. Students must also be enrolled in BOTH Tue & Thur classes to enroll in Wednesday Pre-Pointe)

  • Youth Modern I Ages 8-14

    Youth Modern I is designed for students ages 8-14. Class focuses on alignment, movement, expression, and covers the fundamentals of floorwork and improvisational techniques. Class can be taken in bare feet or socks.

  • Youth Ballet III Company (Invitation Only)

    Youth Ballet III Company is a class designed for Youth Ballet III students who are taking all the required technique classes and Pre-Pointe. This class is time for the dancers to learn Classical Variations, work on new choreography, and to rehearse for additional performances like Library Outreach Shows. Students also learn about Ballet Repertoire and History during this class. Students must be fully enrolled in the technique program to be invited to this class.

Adult Division Classes

  • Int/Adv Ballet to Pop & Alternative Music

    Ballet to Pop Music is intended for adults and teens with intermediate or advanced technique. Class is instructed as a classical ballet class, however music is pop, rock, alternative to traditional ballet class piano music. Class can be taken in person or on Zoom.

  • Beginner Adult Ballet

    Intro/beg class is designed for adult and teen students who are brand new to ballet as well as students who are returning to ballet, or want to brush up on basics. Class entails a classical ballet barre and center. Modifications are given to students who need them in order to make this class accessible and challenging. Class can be taken in person or on Zoom.

  • Adult Pointe (pointe shoes optional)

    Intermediate Pointe is designed for adult and teen students who have an intermediate or advanced level of ballet technique. Modifications are given to students based on where they are in their training in order to make this class accessible and challenging. Class can be taken in person or on Zoom. All gender identities are welcome! Pointe shoes NOT required. Dancers wanting to work on their footwork in ballet slipper are welcome!
